Nata a Milano nel 1981, nel 2006 si è laureata in Storia presso l’Università degli studi di Milano e nel 2012 ha conseguito il dottorato di ricerca in Slavistica presso l’Università degli studi di Torino. Ha svolto attività di ricerca presso l’Istituto italiano di studi storici, l’Università di Fiume/Rijeka, l’Università di Lubiana, il Center for Advanced Studies South Eastern Europe, l’Istituto Masaryk dell’Accademia delle scienze della Repubblica Ceca.
Ha fatto parte di progetti di ricerca internazionali, tra cui il progetto ERC Postwar Transitions in Gendered Perspective: The Case of the North-Eastern Adriatic Region, il progetto Rijeka in Flux: Border and Urban Change after World War II(University of British Columbia Okanagan), il progetto ERC Unlikely Refuge? Refugees and Citizens in East Central Europe in the 20th Century. Attualmente è parte del progetto ERCHumanitarianism and Mediterranean Europe: a Transnational and Comparative History (1945-1990).

Born in Milan in 1981, she earned a MA in History from the University of Milan and a Phd in Slavic Studies from the University of Turin in 2012. She was a research fellow at the Italian Institute for Historical Studies, the University of Rijeka, the University of Ljubljana, the Center for Advanced Studies South Eastern Europe, the Masaryk Institute and Archives of the Czech Academy of Sciences.
