Course Content
Subject of the course: Public powers and separation of powers from the late Middle Ages to nowadays.
First part (XV-XVII centuries). The concept and the use of public power in the political culture of the early modern Europe.
Second part (XVIII-XIX century). From 'power' to 'powers'. The achievement of the separation of powers in the age of liberal revolutions.
Third part (XX century). The State powers and the new formulas of their separation in the age of the mass democracy.
