Course Content
The first part focuses on some basic issues of current local politics in Italy: provincial political élite; local government; public administration and local policy process. The second part focuses on local policy process.

Learning Objectives
Knowledge: The course aims to provide students with the analytical tools to understand how and why the nineties has been launched in Italy a thorough review of the relationship between state, regional and local governments and what effect this revision has obtained.
Skills: Ability to analyze potential political phenomena with particular regard to local policy.
